- Ramayana Connection: According to legend, Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita visited this spot during their exile (*Vanvasa*). Lord Lakshmana is said to have created a water body here (*Laxman Kund*) to quench Sita Mata’s thirst.
- Three Manifestations in One Sanctorum: Unlike standard temples, the inner sanctum houses three distinct forms of Lord Ganesha side-by-side:
- Chintaman: Removes all worries, metal anxieties, and obstacles.
- Ichhaman: Fulfills earnest desires and prayers of devotees.
- Ichhasiddhi: Grants ultimate success, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
- Architectural Heritage: The current stone structure with finely carved pillars was rebuilt during the Paramara era and later renovated under the patronage of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore.
Devotees traditionly tie an inverted Swastika (Ulta Swastika) with dhaga (thread) or turmeric behind the shrine when making a wish, and return to tie a straight Swastika once their wish is granted!
